Speaking to The Observer, the 40‑year‑old admitted that after several high‑profile errors in three of Colo‑Colo’s nine matches, he would choose “the life I had before” fame. He lamented the loss of privacy, explaining that simple outings now involve constant requests for photos, autographs or, worse, people filming him.
According to AS, his future at Colo‑Colo is uncertain. The contract he signed runs until December and includes an automatic extension if he plays half of the team’s matches.
