With Kyle Walker starting in Thomas Tuchel's debut, Milan surpasses Real Madrid to become the non-British team that has contributed the most England players. This evening marks the debut of new coach Tuchel as the Three Lions meet Albania in the Nations League play-offs.
Walker is in his starting lineup, which he has selected. Since he moved from Manchester City to Milan during the January transfer window, this is his first appearance for England. He therefore sets a new record as the sixth different Milan player to represent England. The Rossoneri and Real Madrid had previously sent five players each to England, but Walker elevates the Serie A team over the top. Somewhat surprisingly, Sampdoria are next in line with three, while Bari, Inter, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Olympique Marseille and AS Monaco had two apiece.
