Watkins woe continues while West ham grabs one more win

Villa striker Ollie Watkins’s stressed time continues while West Ham grabbed their third back to back win at London Stadium. West Ham was put ahead with an early goal by Angelo Ogbonna who ran to the far post and rose above Matt Targett to net the goal past Emiliano Martinez all within 2 minutes of the match. While Villa equalized the score in the first half itself when Jack Grealish netted in the 25th minute past Lukasz Fabianski.

West Ham later regained their lead when Jarrod Bowen scored in the 46th minute after an enthused substitution from David Moyes. Said Benrahma entered half time and flicked his first pass to Bowen who pushed past a header over Villa’s keeper to score his fourth goal of the season. The night was not great for Ollie Watkins who missed a late penalty as well saw his stoppage-time leveler being disallowed by VAR.
