On Friday night, Werder Bremen visited Bosussia-park to kick off matchday 25 of the Bundesliga. Marcus Thuram and Florian Neuhaus gave the Foals two goals that put them up, but Marvin Ducksch tied the game again to make it 2-2. Gladbach had the majority of the chances and possession in the first half, in front of about 54,000 spectators. Foals had the chace to win the match as well, Marcus Thuram was given the best opportunities, but he failed to take advantage of two of them. But just after the break, he had better fortune as he beat Michael Zetterer with a low shot to start the scoring. Borussia had numerous opportunities to extend their lead but Marvin Ducksch rounded the goalie in the 65th minute to tie the game.
But just for eight minutes, as Florian Neuhaus quickly made it 2-1 with a shot into the bottom corner. The Foals were unable to hold on, however, as Niclas Füllkrug and Ducksch's superb teamwork allowed the latter to curl in an equalizer in the 89th minute.
