West Brom defeats Southampton 3-0

West Brom boosts their chances of survival in the Premier League by taking down Southampton with 3-0, on the other side Everton was held back to a goalless draw by Brighton on Monday. Albion first recovered after  Mbaye Diagne's goal was ruled out by VAR early in the first half and soon towered over Southampton with a two-goal lead by the time the first half ended thanks to goals by Matheus Pereira and Matt Phillips. Later Callum Robinson netted the last goal in the 69th minute that sealed Baggies win.

The club is now eight points away from Newcastle and has seven games left to change their fate. West Brom has netted eight goals in just two matches which is two more than their 11 matches combined to avoid slipping into Championship they need to up their game desperately.
