In order to make their "best signing" in more than ten years, West Ham United is being pushed to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in the competition for Brentford star Ivan Toney. In 17 appearances, Ivan Toney concluded the previous season with two assists and four goals. He also scored 20 goals in 33 Premier League games the previous season and making an impression in his short playing time at Euro 2024, he is regarded as one of England's best center-forwards.
It was revealed on Friday that the £50 million rated player, has lost interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Tottenham and West Ham, two rival teams in London, are now vying for his talents in a transfer fight. The chairman of Toney's last team, Peterborough United, Darragh MacAnthony, has now offered his opinion on the matter. He has advised West Ham to spend lavishly to get Toney before Tottenham, saying that this would be one of the greatest moves in the team's recent history.
