West Ham Stuns Man Utd with 2-0 Victory

After United's Europa League heroics last Thursday, there was a festive atmosphere at Old Trafford, and the home team, who made six changes from the squad that advanced to the May 21 final match against Tottenham, got off to a strong start. Alphonse Areola made a brilliant stop to deny Amad, who provided the spark, but West Ham, who had lost their own last eight league games, quickly seized over and the atmosphere quickly soured.

Tomas Soucek gave the visitors the lead when Mohammed Kudus, the team's star player, drove a cross into the six-yard box and flicked it in from close range. Soon after, Aaron Wan-Bissaka caught Manuel Ugarte in possession, and the West Ham fans were rejoicing. Wan-Bissaka chose not to shoot and instead passed the ball across goal for Bowen to tap in at the far post after Kudus surged into space and the ball broke for him.
