Why did Roy Keane leave the World Cup?

Because other pundits were getting on Keane’s nerves, Roy Keane had to fly home from the Qatar World Cup. During an interview with Gary Neville and Micah Richards, Keane revealed that he had a bit of a break. Asked by Richards if he had a list, Keane replied: "How long are we? Fellow pundits."

During the Argentina-Saudi Arabia game, Souness and Keane fought over the awarding of a penalty, and Souness was more confident than Keane in his Analytics moment. Souness was right, and Keane disagreed, which led to some TV gold. “I had a break. I needed a break, just my tolerance levels. Yeah, people get on my nerves,” Keane admitted the reason behind his abrupt exit. “To be fair Roy went home for four or five days as well actually,” Neville remarked on the situation. “He went back.”
