The Italian, who has been largely ignored by Italy boss Luciano Spalletti, has been literally knocking on the doors for a while and he cemented his status as a major star with the goal, even if he has done that multiple times already this season.
That beside, the win helped Bologna come up to fourth in the table and it could be a vital week in the race for the top-four.
Most importantly though, it is the title race which gets impacted. Inter’s loss means that Napoli are level at the top with the Nerazzurri. If things stay this way, the title can be decided by a play-off final.
