In Saturday's 4-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at home, Justin Kluivert and Evanilson of Bournemouth made history. The Cherries defeated a Wolves team led by former Bournemouth manager Gary O'Neil 4-2 after overcoming back-to-back losses.
The fact that two of Bournemouth's players made Premier League history at Molineux added even more sweetness to their winning trip. Kluivert became the first player to score three penalties in one Premier League match by displaying remarkable poise from 12 yards out to convert a hat-trick of spot kicks. Kluivert created history by putting an end to the Wolves' mini-revival. After the Dutchman's goal, Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen responded, and within eight minutes, Milos Kerkez gave the visitors a 2-1 lead. Evanilson also established a record by winning a third penalty, and ten minutes later, Kluivert made it 3-1 and finished his hat-trick 16 minutes from time.
