With Southampton's draw, Arsenal suffers yet another setback

After falling short in their match against Southampton on Friday night, Arsenal has suffered yet another significant setback in their bid to win the Premier League. The struggling Saints battled back from a two-goal hole to hold the league leaders to a draw in an exciting game at the Emirates Stadium. Carlos Alcaraz scored for Southampton after only 28 seconds, capitalizing on a blunder by Aaron Ramsdale to give them the perfect start.

After that, Theo Walcott, extended the Saints' advantage until Gabriel Martinelli pulled one back for Arsenal just before halftime. Later, Southampton's two-goal lead was restored by Duje Caleta-Car, and the task became much more challenging. In order to give the home team a point, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka scored in the 88th and 90th minutes, respectively, with Arsenal relying on their tenacity once more. They are now painfully five points in front of second-placed Manchester City, who still have two games remaining and will visit Arsenal on Wednesday.
