Wolverhampton Wanderers started off the new year with a bang as they toppled Man Utd with a 1-0 triumph and end their 42-year drought. Wolves also handed Ralf Rangnick his first loss ever since he took in charge of Manchester United. Joao Moutinho scored the winning goal at 82nd-minute as the fans and players erupted in the background, as he handed the team a historic win in the English Premier League on Tuesday with the team’s first victory at Old Trafford since 1980.
United's players were visibly struggling against Wolves but hoped to survive and walk away with one point in the end but Moutinho had other plans as he controlled the ball at the edge of the area only to drive that in later and saw it roll inside the post. On the other side Wolves goalkeeper, Jose Sa worked hard to deny Red Devils a leveler and helped with the historic win.
