Wolves hold back Newcastle to a 2-2 draw

At Molineux on Saturday, Hwang Hee-chan struck a masterful equalizer to halt Newcastle's Premier League momentum as Wolves rallied for a 2-2 draw following Callum Wilson's double. Wilson, an England international, scored twice as Newcastle led 2-1 at the half and were on track to win the league for the sixth time in six games. However, in the 71st minute, South Korea international Hwang scored his sixth Premier League goal of the year, a well-deserved equalizer for the home team. Wilson was the only alteration made to the Newcastle team that began Wednesday's 1-0 Champions League loss at home against Borussia Dortmund after Alexander Isak had been injured.

After the interval, Wolves were the stronger team and deserved to be rewarded. Newcastle presently sits sixth in the Premier League standings after the point, while Wolves, who have won their last five league games, are in 12th place.
