The Netherlands have unveiled Xavi Hernández as their new national‑team manager, completing one of the most surprising appointments in recent European football. The KNVB confirmed on Wednesday that the former Barcelona coach has signed a four‑year deal that will run through the 2030 World Cup, which will be staged across Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Xavi returns to management two seasons after leaving Barcelona, where his turbulent spell still produced a La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup. His arrival signals a clear commitment to the Cruyff‑inspired philosophy long associated with Dutch football.
