Joan Laporta already spoke about a midfielder and a forward joining the team this summer while the name of the player is yet to be revealed by Barcelona’s president. Xavi is still looking for quick on their feet defenders, as the key target area Barca needs to attend is the ageing defence with the likes of Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba.

Thus Xavi is still on the search for fast defenders and can make a move on Valencia’s Jose Gaya or Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico. The list also included Noussair Mazraoui in the list but Bayern Munich makes that signing a distant reality. The Catalan club is still pursuing a central defender for the team and it might be time that Lisandro Martinez’s name is once again linked to the club.
