Zubairu Ibrahim hat-trick stuns Kotoko in 5-goal thriller

Striker, Zubairu Ibrahim scored a hat-trick to hand King Faisal a shocking 3-2 win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a match week 6 fixture in the Ghana Premier League.

Ibrahim stunned the Baba Yara Stadium when he scored two quick goals to put Faisal 2-0 up inside 18 minutes. Cameroonian striker Omgba Mfegue  responded with two goals of his own in the second half to pull the Porcupine Warriors level.

But any hope of a come back was vanquished when Ibrahim converted a sweet King Faisal move for his 3rd goal of the game as Nurudeen Amadu’s men held on for a famous win to end Kotoko’s unbeaten start to the season.

The victory takes King Faisal top of the Ghana Premier League table on a better head to head, with both teams level on points.

The defeat is Kotoko’s first of the season, and have now failed to register a win in their last two outings.
