76ers hire former Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey

Philadelphia 76ers bring in a major person in their front office by hiring former Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey for a basketball operations role at Philadelphia. Soon after his departure from Rockets, the discussions were underway for him to join Elton Brand, Philadelphia’s current GM, and lend in a hand. Morey has connections with Doc Rivers, the current Head coach, and also knew Sam Hinkie who brought in two superstars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons to Sixers. Morey will be responsible for bringing direction back for the club and the job will require him to be creative by adding spacing and pick-and-roll play to Sixers odd-ball lineup, as well as resolving  Sixers’ cap-space issues.
