76ers put their faith in Tyrese Maxey, James Harden, and Tobias Harris on Monday, Sixers had enough reinforcements to challenge Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals. When the final buzzer did beat, Sixers could sense the absence of Joel Embiid in the 106-92 loss in Game 1 to Miami Heat. Heat maintained control for the most part of the match with help from Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro was hot from the outside.
In the final quarter Heat’s excellent defense had left 76ers struggling to make an impact and left them with no option to wave the white flag. Head coach Doc Rivers in the end called the entire bench for the final four-plus minutes of the game. Sixers have a tough Game 2 ahead of them as they would take on the Heat for Game 2 on Wednesday without Embiid though expect him to get back to action by Game 3 or 4 after he sustained an orbital fracture.
