A big first quarter helps Timberwolves beat Bucks

Minnesota Timberwolves took down a depleted Milwaukee Bucks with 113-108 on Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum. Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to make up for the absence of Jrue Holiday and center Brook Lopez with his 40 points and 16 rebounds. For Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell had a team-high 29 points with the support of Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards who scored 25 points each. Timberwolves did not trail even once during the match with a 44 point first quarter that set the tone for the match right from the start they enjoyed a 10 point lead.

In the final period, the lead had increased and Bucks were trailing behind with 94-79 but pulled on their socks in the last quarter to be 110-108 with 9.4 seconds left in the match but Edwards’ two free throws pulled the game out of reach.
