Minnesota Timberwolves Karl-Anthony Towns drained threes after threes in the third quarter to outscore Los Angeles Lakers and take control with 40-12 to defeat the star-studded team with 107-83. Lakers could just shoot 35% from the floor, fell 7-6 this season.
Anthony Davis contributed 22 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots in 31 minutes while Russell Westbrook added 20 points, five rebounds and three assists on his 33rd birthday as these were the only two players in the double figures for the night. Timberwolves were leading right from the start, they stretched their five-point lead to a 20-point lead and Lakers could not catch up. Towns ended with 29 points in the end and D’Angelo Russell added 22 points for Timberwolves win.
