A heartbreaking loss for Lakers, as they give up on postseason

Los Angeles Lakers ended their season early after being eliminated from the postseason with a loss to Phoenix Suns. The NBA giants posted their seventh straight defeat in the season and an injured LeBron James watched from the bench as the Lakers gave up on their dream to land a playin spot as the Western Conference leaders had other plans with a 121-110 win in Phoenix.

The loss alone did not decide Laker's future but San Antonio’s win over the Denver Nuggets by 116-97 played a deciding role for Lakers. They would lose out on the playoff spot for the first time since 2019 and it is even more difficult for James who would not be part of the postseason thrill, making it the fourth time in his career.
