Andrew Nembhard of the Pacers suffered a serious injury.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers rematched their 2025 NBA Finals matchup on Thursday night's NBA action. Unfortunately, the Pacers are no longer the squad of the past; Tyrese Haliburton is expected to miss the whole 2025–26 season due to a ruptured Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and Myles Turner is no longer on the team. Andrew Nembhard, who many thought was going to have a huge season, had to leave early against the Thunder in their 25-'26 season opener, which made things worse for the struggling Pacers. After Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wrapped Nembhard's arm, he suffered a shoulder injury that was at least considered severe enough to justify ending his season-opening game early.

There is little doubt that the Pacers will not jeopardize the health of one of their key players, particularly when two of their top point guards, Haliburton and T.J. McConnell, are presently sidelined due to injury.
