Anthony Davis erupted for a season-high 55 points

The Los Angeles Lakers jumped off to a huge lead before holding off the visiting Washington Wizards, 130-119, on Sunday.  Anthony Davis scored a season-high 55 points, just four short of his career high, and grabbed 17 rebounds for his 10th straight double-double. With their victory on Sunday, the Lakers improved to 5-1 in their last 6 games, 3-1 in a row, and 4-1 on the road. Davis has been outstanding throughout Los Angeles' comeback, and the victory over Washington was his best effort to date.

He made a staggering 22 of 30 shots from the field, was 9 of 9 from the free-throw line, and contributed to stopping the Wizards' attempted fourth-quarter comeback by making six of eight shots in that span. Davis had 44 or more points for the second straight game on Sunday.
