Despite Randle scoring 34 points and grabbing 17 rebounds, the Knicks managed to defeat the Knicks 113-89. Quentin Grimes contributed 23 points for New York. Murray injured De'Andre Hunter and John Collins, and rolled his ankle, limiting him to just three minutes of action, and then he was ruled out for the remainder of the game. It was a fitting microcosm for the game from there forward as the Hawks lost their 17-0 run in the second quarter to cut an 18-point deficit to one point.
