A depleted Brooklyn Nets were without their star players, Kevin Durant and James Harden against Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. Blazers took advantage of both the NBA MVP’s absence to beat them by 128-109. Blazers were on a free fall losing back-to-back five matches as well as 9 matches out of 11 they have faced in April but they seem to have turned around their luck with three wins in a row on road and beating a powerhouse like Nets is a big thing.
Blazers relied more on their defense in all three wins and it has taken the pressure off from offense side, Lillard finished with 32 points in the end and shared his thoughts later on. Blazers held Nets to 42.1% shooting and themselves shot 51.6%. Blazers improved their record to 35-28 now.
