Jaylen Brown bagged 22 points to lead a thorough Boston attack and the Celtics extended their victorious streak to eight with a 126-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. The Boston Celtics missed injured guards Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon even though it would have hardly made a difference. There were many players to replace their position against the Hawks. Boston gained control in the first quarter against the Hawks, whose infrequent spurts were easily blown out by the Celtics' choking defence.
Trae Young provided the Hawks with 27 points, but was held off to 10-of-23 shooting, involving a mere 2 of 7 from beyond the arc. The Celtics swiftly ran right through the home team by flaunting their brilliant depth. Headed by Brown, the Celtics had seven players put in double figures.
