Carmelo Anthony is one of the most experienced (and aged) players in the NBA and he might have to start considering life beyond basketball. Anthony was almost not included in the league in 2019 before the Portland Trail Blazers signed him for the bench score. Anthony has shone bright in that role and spent a few seasons with Portland before signing with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
Anthony's Lakers tenure saw him score nicely but his vicious defense meant that new coach Darvin Ham would overlook him when it comes to check out the roster. Anthony is currently seated in free agency with little to no interest from teams like the Brooklyn Nets. Although reportedly it is being said that the Boston Celtics may be an actual landing spot for Anthony after they missed out on Danilo Gallinari to an ACL injury for next season.
