Brandon Miller nears full recovery and eyes his return to the court

Brandon Miller is finally approaching a long‑awaited return after another physically demanding season in Charlotte. The Hornets forward spent the entire 2025–26 campaign playing with a shoulder brace following an early subluxation, and underwent surgery in May to address lingering instability. Over the past three months he has worked relentlessly to regain full function, telling the Charlotte Observer he is pleased with his progress, even though he has not yet been cleared for unrestricted activity. Miller emphasized his constant desire to be available, calling it a core part of his identity as a player.

He also highlighted the importance of having a complete roster, noting how unpredictability during games makes availability crucial. After appearing in only 27 games in 2024–25 and 65 last season, he remains a key piece of the Hornets’ project. With a rookie‑scale extension eligible until October 19, both Miller and the franchise are focused on a long‑term future together.
