Chicago Bulls won by 121-103 over the Los Angeles Lakers, with DeMar DeRozan scoring a season-high 38 points and Zach LaVine adding 26 in the Bulls win. Lonzo Ball also hit a season-high 27 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds against his former team as Bulls won their fourth match in five games. The Bulls managed to snap an eight-game skid against the Lakers dating to November 2016 with the win. In the first half at Staples Center, DeRozan and LaVine combined for 39 points in a powerful display and kept the momentum going throughout the match.
Anthony Davis was proving to be a trouble for Bulls by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds but was ejected by referee Scott Wall with 2:20 minutes left in the third quarter. Lakers were already suffering without LeBron James, without Davis they just lacked the edge to push for a win and folded early despite Talen Horton-Tucker’s career-high 28 points.
