The Detroit Pistons slipped to 1-1 in the preseason after losing 117-111 on the road at the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, October 9.
The Pistons were without Jaden Ivey and Tobias Harris due to rest, as well as Jalen Duren, who missed his second consecutive game due to hamstring pain. The starting lineup selected by J.B. Bickerstaff included Isaiah Stewart, Ron Holland, Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson, and Cade Cunningham. Due to illness, Giannis Antetokounmpo was unable to play for the Bucks. Cunningham erupted for 26 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals on 8-for-14 field-goal shooting and 8-for-8 from the line. Thompson also reached double figures with 11 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. Paul Reed tallied nine points and six rebounds.
