Cassius Stanley stole the show

What can be derived from the Indiana Pacers’ only pick on Wednesday night in the 2020 NBA Draft? They selected Cassius Stanley out of Duke at No. 54. This was huge as it was six spots before the conclusion of the event.  Moreover, four hours after it started. Nonetheless, it was worth waiting for.

Players were taken this late hardly stick even in a strong draft year. If they try doing it can take some time for them to develop into rotation players.  And, by the time they do they've moved on.

Reconstructing teams can have patience. Established ones don't have any patience. Their patience started wearing thin because they are trying to win now. Since 2014, the Pacers haven't been out of the playoffs' first round. Chad Buchanan, Pacers general manager feels Stanley can be the exception.
