Cleveland Cavaliers were already injury-ridden since the past few weeks, which forced them to shift focus on defense more, with a slow game and minimizing possessions, with the hope to stay competitive in NBA without key players to rely on. Their tactics sure backfired against Utah Jazz who defeated them 117-87. Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff later shared the team did give in their best but their lack of offensive play brought the ship down.
Jazz was on a two-game winning streak while Cavs were struggling to hold on and on top of that their All-Star center Andre Drummond was taken out of play due to Achilles contusion, without him Jazz buried them with 3- pointers, shooting 50% from the field and 53.3% from 3-point range. This takes the tally to 9 for Cavs when they couldn’t break past 100 on the scoreboard.
