In the Preseason home opener, Cleveland Cavaliers lost to Indiana Pacers in a close fight with 109-100. The coach J.B. Bickerstaff played with the lineup from the first quarter itself, a different quintet graced the court wearing the Cavs jersey, Ricky Rubio, Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love hopped off the bench and joined starters Darius Garland and Evan Mobley.
The momentum changed completely with Rubio’s 5-0 kick, Markkanen throwing down threes within minutes Cavs were leading by six points. The experiment was effective and in the next two exhibitions maybe they would be seen in action again. The main backup wing still remains competitive with the choice between Cedi Osman and Lamar Stevens or Dylan Windler and Dean Wade, the latter took advantage last night. Windler went with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 22 minutes while Wade added 8 points along with 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals in 17 minutes of playtime.
