Celtics May Have Decided On Derrick White Trade

The Boston Celtics’ roster looks fine. Although, after the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, Brad Stevens is stressing on the the team’s biggest concern– depth. He brought Danilo Gallinari and traded for Malcolm Brogdon for the same. Unfortunately, Gallinari had to go through a torn ACL while playing for the Italian national team at EuroBasket, but the Brogdon addition is still a strong boost. Their dolly is now full with amazing backcourts in the league like Brogdon, Marcus Smart, Payton Pritchard, and Derrick White.

However, after the Brogdon trade came through, things started to circle around the fact that White could be dispensable. But the Celtics have no immediate purposes of trading White.

“If something came their way where they needed a salary to match, that would be a case where you can imagine them looking to maybe move White but they’re not out there shopping him for sure,” an Eastern Conference executive stated.
