Dennis Schroder shined, in the end, to help Boston Celtics beat depleted Milwaukee Bucks 122-113. Schroder hit a total of season-high 38 points eight of which came in the OT as the Celtics outscored Bucks by 14-5 in the extra time. Boston also had Marcus Smart at 19 points and Robert Williams added 12 points and 10 rebounds, who were making up for Jaylen Brown’s absence. Brown missed his third match with Celtics after picking up a hamstring injury.
The NBA champions were also missing all-star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had a right ankle sprain and was ruled out just minutes before the match. Khris Middleton also missed his seventh straight game after he tested positive for Covid-19.
