Charlotte Hornets win over the Oklahoma City Thunder

With 2.8 seconds remaining, long inbound pass bounced into Jalen Williams' hands just beyond the arc, giving the Thunder a chance to force overtime. Williams' 3-point attempt, though, deflected off the back of the rim and gave the Hornets (26-51) their third straight victory — all over Western Conference foes actively competing for a playoff spot. Although Oklahoma City missed crucial free throws late in the game to keep the Hornets ahead, Charlotte missed 11 of their attempts.

Williams' drive seemed to tie the game with 15.9 seconds left with the Hornets leading 134-132 until Washington was flagged for goaltending and a foul. Williams, though, missed the first of his two free throws when the goaltending decision was reversed. With 4.2 seconds remaining, Josh Giddey's free throw brought the Thunder within one. However, Giddey missed his second attempt, and Svi Mykhailiuk retrieved the rebound and made two free throws to force Oklahoma City to rush a 3-point attempt.
