Cleveland Cavaliers beat Orlando Magic, 107-101

The Cavaliers bested the reconstructing Orlando Magic, 107-101, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Monday. The success snaps Cleveland's inconvenient three-game losing streak. Evan Mobley, the Rookie of the Year leader, left the game halfway through the second quarter with a hyper-extended left lower leg and then didn't return, and was kept from the rest of the game before the second from last quarter began.

There is no word yet on the seriousness of the lower leg injury. The Magic outscored Cleveland, 18-13, in the last 5:11 minutes. In spite of Orlando's late-quarter flood, the Cavs scored 60 points in the primary half, brought a lead into the break and held tight late for a truly necessary victory. The Cavs will now wrap up their homestand with a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.
