Cleveland Cavaliers lost their All-Star center Jarrett Allen to a left middle finger fracture during the Toronto Raptors win on Sunday. In the first quarter itself, Allen had injured himself while driving a basket and had to retire to the first quarter and did not return to the game. Cavs still went on to push for a 104-96 win against Toronto.
Cleveland could not comment on Allen’s return but it seems like he would be out for the rest of the season. The player has averaged 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks across 56 games in the 2021-22 campaign for the team. This is another shock to the Cavs who have already lost their leading scorer Collin Sexton and guard Caris LeVert is also sidelined.
