Toronto Raptors end their five-match winning streak, with a 102-101 loss to Cleveland Cavaliers. Darius Garland scored 21 points to take the game-clinching free throws with 4.8 seconds left on the clock. Despite the loss Raptors are off to a good start, performance-wise they have crossed the expectations mark with a new team.
They were in fact leading the match and did not trail until the final seconds when Cleveland sneaked in a winning throw at the end at Scotiabank Arena ending the Raptors’ 3-0 road trip and the longest win streak in nearly two seasons. Raptors win the first half with a 12-point lead increased that to 15 in the third and started the fourth quarter with 80-74 but could not contain Cleveland’s late rally that tied the game 94-94 and later won the match as well.
