CP3’s third quarter powerplay leads Suns to 118-105 win against Bucks in Game 1

Chris Paul’s big third quarter sees Phoenix Suns to a 118-105 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. CP3 scored 16 of his 32 points in the penultimate quarter to hand Suns a 1-0 lead in the NBA Championship Final. Suns scored 35 points in the third quarter thanks to Paul’s efforts which contributed to more than half of the points and held back Bucks to lead 92-76 heading into the fourth quarter.

Bucks were able to cut the deficit to 7 points but it was as far as they could manage. Supporting Paul on the floor, Devin Booker chipped in 27 points and Deandre Ayton pitched in a double-double with 22 points and 19 rebounds and Suns found an easy with two-time NBA MVP and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo taking it slow with 20 points and 17 rebounds due to his injured knee.
