Dallas Mavericks defeated the Detroit Pistons 111-105

With the victory, the Mavericks and Pistons split the season series. Despite Doncic scored 35 points against Detroit back in December, Dallas lost. After missing all but three minutes of the previous two games, he was not going to allow his side to lose on January 30. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 29 points for the Pistons on Monday night, but Doncic was simply too excellent.

The Pistons tried to make it difficult for the Mavericks. Despite having trouble making their threes and free throws, the Mavs provided him exactly the right amount of assistance. The Mavericks improved to 27-25 on the season thanks to Luka's play on Jan 30. On Monday night, Doncic was on fire right from the opening tipoff, scoring 24 of the team's 30 points in the first quarter while making seven of his first eight field goals, including four 3-pointers. Number 77 just could not miss in the NBA's highest-scoring opening quarter of the year.
