Damian Lillard appears to be in denial

Damian Lillard passes a statement that made it to headlines in just no time. The 31-year-old says that the Portland Trail Blazers don't have a championship team. Lillard is likely to request a trade from his current squad in the days to come. However, Dame also said, “he 'expects' to wear a Trail Blazers jersey next season”. The All-Star point guard acknowledged that new head coach Chauncey Billups might be a terrific addition to the team, but they must do more to challenge for an NBA championship.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks have all been connected to the 31-year-old. If the Blazers' front management does not put together a team to challenge for the Larry O'Brien trophy, this summer might be exciting for Dame.
