Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. agrees to a five-year extension with the club worth $207M. As per the reports, the deal for the five-year rookie is a max of $172 million but could scale $207M as well if Porter Jr. makes it to three All-NBA teams this season. This accounts for the fourth maximum contract extension that has been given out to a rookie this offseason, while the others were given out to Luka Doncic, Trae Young, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Nuggets have locked in all of their top-four player to long-term contracts now bringing in some stability to the roster. Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Porter would be with the Nuggets for a long time. He has played 116 games for Nuggets so far and has averaged 14.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
