Jokic, who didn’t score for the first 21 minutes, finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jamal Murray also shone with 27 points, including Denver’s final five in overtime, while Russell Westbrook contributed 21 points.
The Pelicans held a 107-98 lead with 7:50 left in regulation, but Jokic fueled a 15-2 Denver run to give the Nuggets a 113-109 edge. CJ McCollum’s late 3-pointer put New Orleans ahead 119-117, but Murray tied it with 8.8 seconds remaining. McCollum’s buzzer-beater attempt fell short. In overtime, Jokic scored Denver’s first six points and assisted on an Aaron Gordon layup to secure the win. Jordan Hawkins led New Orleans with 25 points, while McCollum added 24.
