The Pistons ran out of fuel in a 102-94 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Pistons (5-17) headed the game by as many as 12 points and worn out each scoring run by the Cavaliers (13-7) in the first three quarters, but renounced the dominance of the game in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers wrapped up the game on a 23-10 run. Detroit stayed on their toes by four points with less than three minutes left in the game when Killian Hayes shot a running floater to bring Detroit within two.
But, Donovan Mitchell, renowned for his big-shot making, shot back with a 3-pointer to give the Cavs a nice 97-92 lead. The Pistons couldn’t gather enough offense to overpower the deficit and experienced a tormenting second consecutive loss. Marvin Bagley III kept his brilliant game from the last couple of matches with a team-high 19 points and 10 rebounds.
