The Detroit Pistons defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 128-122 in overtime on Thursday night thanks to a season-high 27 points and a career-high 22 rebounds from Jalen Duren. The NBA's least fortunate Pistons, led by Jaden Ivey with 26 points and Cade Cunningham with 23 points, have won back-to-back games for the first time since late October. Detroit has only won eight games this season, despite defeating the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Ivey made a career-high 7 of 7 three-pointers. For the Pistons, rookie Marcus Sasser scored 17 points and dished out a career-high 11 assists.

Portland dropped its third consecutive game despite a career-high 49 points, eight rebounds, and six assists from Jerami Grant. Anfernee Simons missed the last 22 minutes because of an injured left ankle, although he still scored 29 points in 25 minutes.
