Luka Garza could move from the two-way contract he enjoys with Pistons to a full standard contract soon. NBA rules permit teams to sign at the max two players in the Two-Way contracts throughout the season who would be separate from the 15 man season roster. The two-way contract player can thus play at most 50 games with the team in the regular season though there is no limit in terms of practice and workouts.
The Iowa center joined Pistons in a two-way deal and was balancing the G-League and the NBA. In the summer league his performance was excellent as well with a debut performance averaging 15.0 points and 9.6 rebounds. He even ended the Summer League with three back-to-back double-double and has earned the full contract with Pistons the hard way.
