Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green is looking for a maximum contract extension this offseason but the team apparently has “no such plans”. Green would be eligible for a new contract on Aug 3 and would demand a four-year deal and US$27.58 million over the next two seasons. The All-Star could also opt out of his deal for the 2023-24 and if he does that he would be an unrestricted free agent next summer. The 32-year-old still considers his future is at Warriors but would be "willing to explore his outside options to get the kind of contract he wants".
Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole are also in line for new contracts with the franchise and if the team agreed to all their whims it would be a pricey deal in terms of luxury taxes.
