Darius Garland will miss Cleveland's Thursday night at Detroit with a back issue that has teased him for quite a long time and their recently recruit Caris LeVert is sidelined as well with a hyper-extended right foot for the upcoming match. Garland passed on five games with lower back soreness preceding the All-Star stoppage.
But the 22-year-old participated in All-Star Weekend, scoring 13 points in Team LeBron's success on Sunday. Cavs have been dealing with injuries the entire season, driving scorer Collin Sexton and gatekeeper Ricky Rubio were lost for the year with knee wounds. LeVert has only played four matches for the team so far after Cavs procured him with an exchange with Indiana. Still, Cavs are holding strong with fourth place in the Eastern Conference at 35-23.
