Gordon Hayward’s return from an ankle injury comes just in time before Game 3. Hayward has been out of the game ever since he fell during Game 1 of the first round against the Philadelphia 76ers and shared the news post-practice workout. It would be difficult for Hayward to return to full form on the court without testing the ankle out first. He has averaged 17.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game during the regular season although scoring 50.0 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three-point range. He can take advantage of the opportunity created as defenses attack on Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown resulting in the Celtics missing 27 three-pointers in Game 1 and another 18 in Game 2.
